Clearing waiting lists

Clearing waiting listsKeeping waiting lists under control is a constant battle for any Occupational Therapy unit and the 'personalisation" reform programme set by central Government to offer 'choice" and 'control" to clients which is to ensure that service users fully participate in this process is an ever increasing challenge. Access Independent as an external OT provider plays an essential role in supporting many Social Service Departments across the UK to deliver a service of excellence to their service users, their families and carers. They are mindful of delivering a service with their partners that is accessible, fair, and open. Also our service offers very good value for money, an essential aspect these days.

Since setting up our service in 2003 we have supported 33 Local Authorities across the UK in assessing batches of cases in varying volumes in different ways as outlined below
  • Ongoing arrangements - spot purchase on a 'supply and demand" basis
  • One off spot purchase - batching out a number of cases to be assessed in specific time period
  • Part of a pilot – spot purchasing a small volume as a trial before placing a larger order
  • Tender – as part of a bidding process

In the last 12 months we have worked with Kingston, Bradford, Oxfordshire, Solihull, Wrexham, Brent, Southwark, Barking and Dagenham and Hampshire
