Why join Access Independent?

We offer occupational therapists levels of flexibility and freedom in the organisation of their working lives that other full or part-time positions simply cannot offer. These are the key benefits enjoyed by every OT who joins our team:

o Flexible working. Choose your own hours, days or number of cases. Our OTs can work full-time, part-time or just for a few hours to supplement another job
o Increased knowledge. Opportunities to learn new skills and experience different ways of working (vocational rehab)
o Excellent rates. Competitive rates of pay offer a real alternative to fixed employment
o Choice of status. Be employed or self-employed
o Wider horizons. Have the freedom to work in other parts of the UK and for different authorities and service providers – or work locally if you prefer
o Support structure. Work independently, safe in the knowledge that you are being well supported. Guidance and ongoing monitoring are also offered by regional supervisors

How to register with Access Independent

We are looking for OTs with a minimum of 2 years social services experience or 2 years experience in another field such as rehab, mental health or orthopedics.

Or, if you have specialist skills, at least 5 years experience in the following: Hand therapy, wheelchair clinics, neurology, worksite ergonomics, head or spinal injuries, train the trainer. It is essential that you have a computer, a printer and e-mail access at home.

If this specification suits you, then the first step is to fill in the application form which asks for basic information about you and provide details of two referees that are present or past employers.

If you have the relevant experience then we will contact you when we have some work in your area, and we will then undertake a telephone interview and ask you to complete a case study.
