Assessing Seating and EPV Assessments for Charities

Many charities such as the British Legion, RAFBF, SSAFA and Independent Age use OTs to assess for EPVs and other powered equipment such as Riser Recliner chairs. This is to ensure that any product purchased on behalf of the charity for a member is suitable for their needs. Access Independent provide a service to the British Legion in all the counties of Southern and Eastern England

This course will include-

· What is an EPV?

· What EPVs are on the Market?

· What about extra features?

· Assessing for suitability, including the person and the environment

· Practical session looking at measuring, prescribing and advising on features

· Types of riser recliner chairs

· What Riser Recliner's are on the Market?

· Safety and usage

· This course will be presented by an OT who has worked in this area for a number of years and will include some input from the British Legion
