Set up in 2003, ACCESSIBILITY > INCLUSION > INTEGRITY are Access Independent's core values in providing cost effective, efficient ways of delivering the best possible service to meet the needs for you and your clients.Access Independent's Occupational Therapy Service comprises an office based team consisting of our management and administration staff who oversee the delivery of services in a consistent fashion. Throughout the UK we have qualified Occupational Therapy fieldwork assessors supervised by Senior Practitioners who use electronic systems to forward reports and as a means of communicating using data protection methods to ensure all information is kept confidential.
Our Managing Director Stephen Naylor, Sales Director Delia Naylor, Occupational Therapy Contracts Manager Janine Grant, administrative support for one-off services Will Mclintock and a team of Administrative support for OT contracts and mobility services are based in our principal office in Cambridge.Our 'remote" working team includes Occupational Therapy Senior Practitioners and Occupational Therapy Fieldwork Assessors who work to agreed service levels. All our assessors are taken through a robust registration process prior to taking on any work, which includes:
- Health Professional Council registration
- Up to date CV or record of employment
- Two good written references
- Copy of Enhanced CRB check (Criminal Records Bureau)
- Evidence of recent clinical practice and training
All assessors receive our OT Handbook, outlining Access Independent core values, policies, procedures and expectations, prior to commencing work with us. We use template forms and examples to assist with the completion of assessment reports and specifications relating to most areas of need. For very specialist areas, our OT assessor may provide their own assessment reports, with our prior agreement. All OT Fieldwork Assessors working for Access Independent are expected to have a fully operating computer and printer, landline and mobile telephone to deliver the service consistently.
