Using Access Independent to carry out mobility assessments for blue badge, taxicard and freedom passes saves time and reduces the workload for local authorities. At the same time, they know they will receive a fair, accountable and consistent service, tailored to suit their specific requirements.

Each applicant receives a detailed objective assessment by an OT with experience in physical disability. Good clinical reasoning skills are then applied in order to make the final recommendation.

The mobility assessment process can include management of the mobility clinic before, during and after the clinic. Other services include home assessments for disabled parking bays and providing group assessments in residential homes.
